Admission To B-tech:
Admission to B.Tech. Ist semester and B.Tech. IIIrd semester (for diploma holder candidates only) will be made as per the rules prescribed by the Academic Council of the U.P.Technical University.
Admission To First Year
Admission to 1st semester B.Tech is through a State Entrance Examination(SEE-2006), conducted by UP Technical University, Lucknow Uttar Pradesh.
In all state / state funded engineering and technological institutions and in all private engineering colleges, 5% seats are available for Non Resident Indians . Admission to all other seats shall be made as per latest government order issued by government of UP . The Tuition and other fee shall be decided by the State Government.
Direct Admission To Second Year
Candidates who have passed 3/4 year Diploma (with minimum 60% marks) recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering / Technology except Agriculture Engg. are eligible for admission to Second year in any branch of Engg./ Technology except Agriculture Engg. The eligible candidates, seeking direct admission to IInd year, are required to submit the application forms in UPTU office by the prescribed date. Such candidate need not appear in the entrance test. Their merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained by them in the Diploma examination.
NRI Quota
NRI candidates, who possess minimum requisite qualification, may get direct admission on FIVE Percent seats of total intake. Such candidates should submit the application forms but need not appear in the Admission Test. Seat allotment for filling NRI quota will be made before the start of counseling of UPTU qualified candidates. The candidates will be informed separately about the date of allotment of seat under this quota, and they are required to be present in person on the day of counseling.
